Unfortunately, this isn't an option in our current software. We're currently planning our transition to a different framework that would allow us to create a more intuitive scheduling system, but this will more or less require us to rebuild our software on a new framework - as you imagine, it's a big of an undertaking. We definitely do want to change the current scheduling/time zone behavior in the future, though.

For now, I'd recommend one of two things:

    • creating a Travel Item for your departure, and a separate Schedule Item for your arrival on the same date.
    • creating two Tour Dates with the same calendar date, one for departing the Eastern Hemisphere and one for arriving in the Western Hemisphere (or vice versa), and add your departure Travel Item and arrival Schedule Item on the appropriate dates.

    Thanks,
    Patrick

I'm really surprised this hasn't been addressed yet as it's bugged me for years!

There are multiple threads and requests for this but most like yours are unanswered. In looking at the “forums” today for the first time in a long time, Eventric lets many many questions go unanswered. The scant 4 categories (Features Under Development, Completed Feature Requests, Feature Requests, Getting Started - F.A.Q.) to post questions to aren’t that helpful. This really should be a bug report not a feature request.

I see that this still hasn't changed. This really needs to get fixed. I'm now trying to input info again for a flight that crosses the dateline and once more I cannot display the flight correctly because the plane lands on the west coast an hour before it takes off in Singapore across the dateline. So I have a choice, either list the departure time correctly or list the arrival time correctly. It's a bit shit really isn't it? At least put a quick fix in that allows me to break the link between the arrival and departure time so it doesn't autocorrect to the later time. I would rather list the two times correctly than the amount of time it takes. Please fix this, it's been too long!

What’s the road map for the new framework?

    Hey Jahn,

We're currently planning our transition to the new framework, which would allow us to implement a new scheduling flow once we have the desktop application built on the new framework. As you might expect, rebuilding the desktop application on a new framework will take some time, but will also open a lot of possibilities for Master Tour in the future.

    Thanks,
    Patrick
