Time zones should be in a drop down menu, from the - 11 GMT through the + 11 GMT. Also, schedule items should have a drop down box for time zone. This should be set up so that when you're adding schedule items, it defaults to the time zone that your event is in, but you can change it. For example, if I'm in Japan, and I have a band member taking a from LA, the departure time can still be set to be -8GMT, but the arrival time will then be +9GMT +1 day. This will also make total travel times accurate for other transportation scheduled items.
Would also be cool if it referenced from the zip/postal/city code and automatically entered the time zone
